So thankful

We had a lovely Christmas.

Many moments of beauty and awe.
The snow brought so much pleasure to every age.
Feasting over authentic Thai curry, Julia's roast chicken, Oma's dwindling baking...
Soaking up the nearness of a sister/aunt who lives far too far away.
Celebrating the gift of our Saviours life.

Just "behind" our house (about a 3 minute walk away)...

Winter sun

Does two years in a row count for tradition? Well, sushi
will likely continue in our household on Christmas Eve. Maybe the backwards tie will too.

Oh, she looks lovely and serene...

But don't mess with her and a roll of maki!

Best. Gift. Ever.

(I'll try and get the video up soon.)

Ok, this is a "best gift ever" too.
Amazing science teacher auntie brought it along for the blossoming scientist.

One of many skis.

I think they were reading Hansel & Gretel.

(Ottawa river...Quebec on the other side.)

It's hard saying goodbye.

Thanks so  much for the visit Auntie Kiki. We truly
cherished the time we had with you. Come back soon!!

And for those interested...
Just a little update on the basement...
